Happy Holidays,
I have some exciting news to share with you in this issue of CAM News. It is official now. I received the paperwork from my attorney just in time for this newsletter. Thanks to your generosity we are now incorporated in the state of Michigan. We had to change our name a little bit, due to legal implications, but nonetheless finally. Ladies and Gentlemen, effective as of November 09, 2006, let me present to you Article I of the Articles of Incorporation, which states the name of the corporation:

Article II: (The purpose for which the corporation is organized)
To receive and administer funds for: Research of alternative medical approaches to the prevention and treatment of cancer and dissemination of the research results to educate the public.
Article III:
The corporation is organized upon a non-stock basis.
I have already started the next step mentioned in Article III (The corporation is to be financed under the following plan):

financed through charitable contributions from the public.
The mailing address of the registered office is: (if inclined to do so, you may mail your contributions to this address)

The corporation is organized on a Directorship basis.
Article VI:
Upon dissolution, the assets of the corporation will be transferred to an institution of higher education, such as a college or university. The transferee will be an entity, which qualifies as a tax-exempt institution.
I hope to announce shortly our first set of Directors. We will have a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of twenty-one (21) directors. The subsequent directors shall be elected by a simple majority of the Board of Directors.
Looking back on 2006, I have to say that it was quite a productive year. We established the Alternative Medicine Blog, incorporated as the Absenger Cancer Education Foundation and I continued my studies, not only at Everglades University, but also on my pre-med classes at Muskegon Community College or MCC. I just finished my first biology class and I am looking forward to January to start my next biology class.
All this is the past: What about the future? As mentioned above, I am working on the IRS application to qualify as a 501(c)(3) and hope to file this paperwork by March 2007. Due to increased school and work activities I will be posting to the Blog probably only once a week instead of trying to do a new post every day. It is quality that counts not quantity.
My next series of posts will consist of some dietary supplemental guidelines. Through my studies I have discovered that there are supplements, which are recommended uniformly by virtually every healthcare expert. I will post a set of recommendations along with the specific action, or function any given Vitamin, mineral, or other nutraceutical performs in order to ensure good health. I give you a hint; there are about 35 substances essential to meet your basic requirements for proper cell, tissue, and organ function. Some of them you make yourself, some of them need to be supplied to the body via food. If your diet, is aligned with the SAD (Standard American Diet) diet, you might not be geting all the nutrients I will cover. Please stay tuned. I will try to make sense out of all of them for you.
With that I would like to take the opportunity to extend my warmest holiday wishes not only to you, but also to your family and friends.
Beste Gesundheit,
Werner
