Surgeons evaluate the stage and borders of a patient’s tumor to determine which patients are good candidates for surgery, while medical oncologists look for certain biomarkers to estimate how well a patient will respond to chemotherapy. Now, a new study indicates that doctors can predict quality of life (QoL) outcomes based on the patient’s nutritional status.
