The History of Homeopathy also involved a certain amount of disagreement between homeopaths themselves. Most of the dominant homeopaths in America were Hahnemannians. The majority of the homeopaths however did not stick to the strict Hahnemannian principles. They did not prescribe their medicines according to the totality of the symptoms, but rather based on the chief complaint.
